Job Description

Due to ongoing growth and some exciting project wins, AECOM is seeking an Engineering Geologist to join our Sydney office.

You will have the opportunity to work with and learn from a strong team of geotechnical engineers and engineering geologists, of all levels.

How you’ll make a difference:

  • Contributing to desk studies, planning, and delivering ground investigations and preparing associated factual and interpretive reporting

  • Perform field reconnaissance and geological mapping to identify hazards such as landslides, subsidence, soil liquefaction, or unstable slopes.

  • Conduct geological and geotechnical site investigations, including soil, and rock.

  • Develop geological models, cross-sections, and maps to support transportation design and construction

Qualifications

The following qualifications and experience are highly desired, but if you don’t tick all the boxes, you could still be a perfect fit for this role. Please apply, all applications will be considered.

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (or equivalent)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrated competency in a similar role within Ground Engineering

  • Good computer skills including Microsoft Office, and specialist Ground Engineering software
