AECOM Team Leader - Highways and Bridges in Sydney - AU, Australia

Job Summary

As a key member of the multi-disciplinary civil infrastructure team the Highways and Bridges Team Leader will lead a team of engineers, designers and drafters to deliver projects on time and to budget. The successful candidate will also be responsible for development of effective and strong client relationships with key clients to deliver business growth and good client outcomes.

The Highways and Bridges Team Leader will be responsible for performance of the team managing project delivery, technical quality and resource allocation to lead and grow an engaged and motivated technical team.

The successful candidate will maintain and further develop their professional and technical skills to the highest level on all projects they contribute to or undertake. They will also support the development and training of leading-edge technical skills and understand how to practically apply them in ways that add value to AECOM and its clients.

Minimum Requirements

The successful candidate will have the ability to effectively lead a team of 55+ staff in pursuit and delivery of highways and bridges and related works. You will have a minimum of 15 years technical experience in the planning, design and management of road/highways projects, including geometric road design and experience in freeway design. Drainage design and coordination is required. Previous experience in leadership of similar size teams in a multidisciplinary design environment is essential.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent

  • Eligible for membership to the Institution of Engineers, Australia

  • Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or equivalent overseas professional recognition
