AECOM .Senior Materials Engineer in Sydney - AU, Australia

Australia - New South Wales, Sydney - AU

Job Summary

We currently have an opportunity for an Engineer with relevant experience in materials durability and asset management in civil infrastructure to join our Sydney Materials and Asset Management team. The role will report to the Materials team leader and supervision and mentoring will be provided

Responsibilities would include:

  • Condition assessment of infrastructure including bridges, tunnels, wharves, road and highway assets, water infrastructure, pipelines and buildings;

  • Field asset data collection and analysis;

  • Whole of Life Strategic and Tactical Asset Management Planning;

  • Materials Durability Planning;

  • Corrosion management and cathodic protection design;

  • Report and Proposal writing;

  • Project management;

  • Supporting other team members in team projects.

  • The role is expected to involve significant site inspection and testing

Minimum Requirements

  • While some experience in the above is required, it is expected the successful candidate will continue to develop technical skills within AECOM.

  • Site inspections may occasionally involve short term travel out of Sydney, night works, working at heights and confined space entry depending on the project.

  • Relevant experience enabling you to have developed a range of relative knowledge and skills;

  • A current NSW driver’s license or a licence that can be readily converted to a NSW licence;

  • Must have full working rights in Australia.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Civil or Materials Engineering, or similar;
