AECOM Senior Engineer - Highways in Sydney - AU, Australia

Job Summary

AECOM’s Highways and Bridges team in Sydney are looking for a highly driven Senior Roads/Highways Engineer to utilise their strong technical, project management and site superintendence skills to manage and deliver infrastructure projects from our Sydney office.

This role will give you the opportunity to work as part of a high performing team, with guidance and mentoring from a team of technical specialists. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, this role will see you working with the well-established Highways team, whilst also giving you access to experts across the region.

While your main duties will be technical work, you will also be required to undertake client liaison, work package scoping, preparing costs estimates, negotiating variations, technical supervision and mentoring of work package teams, and cost and schedule monitoring to deliver bridge engineering work packages.

Minimum Requirements

About You

Your experience will have seen you undertake general civil works including road and highway design for both government and private clients. You will be joining AECOM as a Senior Engineer and you will have a strong appreciation of both road design and ancillary road design elements including drainage, road signage, line marking, safety barriers, and utilities.

Suitable candidate for this role will have the following profile:

  • Bachelor of Civil Engineering (or equivalent) – essential;

  • RPEQ/CPEng (or working towards)

  • Experience in road/highways design, including concept and detailed design, and review/verification Experience working on Infrastructure Projects;

  • Previous consulting and design experience – highly regarded

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Civil Engineering (or equivalent) – essential;
