Job Summary

At AECOM, we have a strong history of delivering rail projects for private and government clients and contractors. We seek to leverage our existing portfolio of delivering major projects across Australia and New Zealand including, Auckland City Rail Link, Brisbane Cross River Rail, Perth Metronet and Melbourne Metro Rail Infrastructure Alliance to grow our market share and secure major projects in NSW and ACT.

As the Client Director Rail for the NSW and ACT Civil Infrastructure team, you will enhance our brand in line with AECOM strategy and will strive to ensure our Clients enjoy a consistent and high-quality experience with AECOM. The Client Director is responsible for ensuring that key client relationships are being pro-actively managed and that we have visibility and a clear strategy for our major rail pursuits.

As an engaging and knowledgeable industry expert, you will position for and win strategic projects whilst leading the delivery of major projects.

Minimum Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will be self-motivated and able to work independently and across multiple teams. This is an influencing role with a high level of accountability (measured by growth with our key clients) in helping Rail NSW and ACT move towards a more focused and profitable business.

Ideally you will:

  • Have held a Bid Director (or similar) role with demonstrated success in multidisciplinary pursuits

  • Have been responsible for a key client account

  • Have extensive experience within the Rail sector and strong client relationships with TfNSW and main contractors

  • Be able to demonstrate your leadership experience

  • Be able to demonstrate where you have driven a market led response (e.g.: through marketing or thought leadership campaigns) to build client relationships

  • Have consulting or contracting experience with direct involvement in bidding and winning work.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in related discipline
