Job Summary

As a key member of the multi-disciplinary civil infrastructure team the Bridges Team Leader will lead a team to deliver a portfolio of projects. The successful candidate will also be responsible for development of effective and strong client relationships with key clients to deliver business growth and outstanding client outcomes.

The Bridges Team Leader will be responsible for performance of the team, managing resource allocation to lead, mentor and grow an engaged and motivated team. The successful candidate will support the development and training of leading-edge technical skills and understand how to practically apply them in ways that add value to AECOM and its clients.

Minimum Requirements

The successful candidate will have the ability to effectively lead a team in pursuit and delivery of bridge design and related works across AECOM’s project portfolio. You will be an inspirational leader with the personal drive to seek to be the best in the industry and develop your team to achieve the same. The ideal candidate will have strong relationships within the infrastructure sector

The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:

  • Extensive years of relevant engineering experience with a focus on infrastructure projects;

  • Strong relationships with existing clients, potential new clients for AECOM and a drive to win work;

  • A coach for team members in the delivery of engineering outcomes, whilst leading in the selection of appropriate techniques, procedures and methods;

  • Capable in the planning and organisation of tasks, people, project programmes and the development of fee proposals;

  • Committed to setting and upkeeping high standards and quality of work across delivery teams;

  • A passion to lead on the creative and innovative development of engineering technology and continuous improvement systems;

  • Ability to influence collaboration within a team environment and proven strength in communicating concepts/ideas to technical and non-technical stakeholders; and

  • A passionate focus towards growing the next generation of capability in both leadership and technical areas

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent

  • Eligible for membership to the Institution of Engineers, Australia

  • Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or equivalent overseas professional recognition
