AECOM’s Resources, Power and Industrial Business have exciting opportunities for an Electrical Engineer to join our well respected and multidisciplinary Mackay team.
This Electrical Engineer role will enable you to utilise your strong technical skills and knowledge, whilst further developing your experience with our multi-disciplinary team of highly skilled professionals. You will be supported by the team in gaining more experience, responsibility and client contact. This role will give you the opportunity to work autonomously as well as within dynamic, multi-disciplinary team.
If you have experience in electrical systems (ranging from HV, LV, process instrumentation, lighting, motor control, vendor package integration) you should not hesitate to apply.
In this role, you will be involved in all phases of projects; from feasibility studies, detailed design, estimates, specifications and procurement, with the possibility of site construction and commissioning assistance, travelling to client sites as required for short term assignments.
Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree;
Proven work experience (circa 3-6 years) within Mining, Resources or heavy Industrial power projects
Exposure to or experience in the design and specification of industrial systems such as HV/LV distribution, controls and communications, safety systems and motor controls;
Knowledge or prior experience in the use of popular design packages, such as; PowerCAD, Power
Tools for windows and AutoCAD;
Experience in the design and modelling of HV and LV systems is desirable;
Proficient in producing engineering documentation such as technical specifications, datasheets, scope of works and material requisitions;
Possess current knowledge of the relevant industry standards and the application in compliant designs;
Excellent verbal and communications skills;
Ideally holds CPEng and/or RPEQ (or working towards obtaining);
Experience in industrial electrical, instrument and control systems engineering.
