AECOM Sustainability and Resilience Consultant in Fortitude Valley, Australia

Job Summary

Our team in Brisbane has an opportunity for a Sustainability & Resilience Consultant to join our growing team. As a passionate and driven professional, this role will give you the opportunity to further develop your career, with exposure across a range of areas including:

  • Infrastructure sustainability;

  • Climate adaptation and resilience

  • Urban and community resilience;

  • Disaster preparedness; and

  • The transition to a low carbon economy.

As a mid-Professional or Senior Consultant, you will be given the opportunity to grow our market share in sustainability and resilience, developing and enhancing relationships with clients and winning work. This role will see you partnering with internal and external clients, providing technical support and solutions to projects across the region.

Our team is currently leading the sustainability scope for the Cross River Rail, Rail Integration and Systems Package, helping Queensland’s Department of Transport and Main Roads build the climate resilience of key projects. We are working with Townsville City Council to build its resilience to coastal hazards and supporting the Great Barrier Reef Foundation to deliver it’s pioneering Resilient Reefs initiative. We also have several new and exciting projects about to start focused on understanding asset exposure and vulnerability to climate change and the challenges and opportunities associated with the transition to a low carbon economy.

Our team takes a holistic view of the challenges facing our clients – an approach we have refined through involvement with major international programs including 100 Resilient Cities

Minimum Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience working in sustainability and resilience;

  • Consulting experience will be highly regarded;

  • Passion for innovation and project delivery;

  • Collaborative and client-centric approach.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in sustainability, environmental science/management (or similar);

  • Infrastructure Sustainability Accredited Professional (ISAP) – highly regarded.
