AECOM Senior GIS Analyst in Fortitude Valley, Australia

Job Summary

AECOM’s GIS Team in Brisbane has a fantastic opportunity for a highly driven spatial systems professional to support a varied range of projects across the region. As part of this role you will support and maintain the AECOM platforms, collection tools and data management procedures. In addition, you will support day-to-day GIS requirements including the creation and maintenance of metadata, map production, GIS analysis, technical software user support and troubleshooting user errors.

Working for a global organisation, this role will allow you to work with industry specialists from a range of backgrounds.

Working with teams across Queensland and the Northern Territory, this role may require travel to our regional offices during peak demand periods and to client site offices, when required.

Minimum Requirements

This role is suited to a professional with 5+ years’ relevant professional experience. You will have previous experience, or strong interest, in the application of GIS to Earth Science and Environmental Science and demonstrated skills in managing work packages and small projects.

Must-Have skills and knowledge

  • The analysis, design, development, testing & checking, documentation and support of spatial information products and services

  • Information management, database design, data integrity, data integration and ETL

  • Spatial analysis and spatial operations with vector, raster and terrain data

  • Cartography, high volume and highly customised

  • ArcMap at a high level (incl. Maplex, Data Driven Pages, ModelBuilder, advanced label expressions)

Preferred skills and knowledge

  • ArcGIS Pro

  • ArcGIS Online

  • ArcGIS Enterprise (Portal)

  • ArcGIS Server

  • Python and ArcPy

  • Collector for ArcGIS

  • Survey123 for ArcGIS

  • Global Mapper

  • QGIS

  • FME

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualification (Bachelor degree in GIS of Spatial Science, or similar) – advantageous.
