AECOM Principal Process Engineer - Water Infrastructure in Fortitude Valley, Australia

Job Summary

Due to recent project wins, we are excited to be growing our Water Infrastructure & Treatment Team. This senior level appointment will support our water/waste water process engineering capabilities for a growing client base. Working across water, waste water and recycled water treatment assets, you will be given exposure to our national business and will provide thought-leadership in your area of expertise.

As a key member of our multi-disciplinary engineering, construction and operational team, you will support the development and achievement of a sustainable water and wastewater treatment business through engaging and supporting our team members, establishing new business relationships and achieving repeat business with existing clients.

You will be tasked with growing and developing capability to deliver a range of projects covering the end-to-end project lifecycle including planning and investigations, concept design, detailed design and post-project completion support based on market conditions and project pipeline.

Minimum Requirements

With a minimum of 15 years’ post-graduate treatment industry experience you will have a strong consulting engineering background, with exposure to medium to large, multi-disciplinary water or wastewater infrastructure projects.

Your demonstrated background in business development and strong client focus, along with your successful experience in project management, design management and technical leadership will be highly regarded.

In addition, you will have:

  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to municipal and industrial water and wastewater process engineering solutions for both liquid and solid streams;

  • Experience in desalination, brine management, odour and septicity, resource recovery, cogeneration and energy efficiency solutions - highly regarded;

  • Experience as commissioning lead with experience providing operation optimisation, troubleshooting and maintenance advice for treatment facilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) – essential;

  • High level of proficiency using water/water process modelling software e.g. Biowin or equivalent;

  • Masters degree or PhD in chemical process engineering - highly regarded.
