Job Description

As the Power Generation Group Lead you will work across our regional offices, in Auckland, Christchurch and Hamilton forming part of a regional team who collaborate nationally across a diverse range of projects servicing a diverse range of clients across power generation, industrial, water and wastewater sectors.

This includes accountability for the strategy, growth and development of Generation & Industrial business, and contribution to the growth and achievement of the wider NZ Energy business.

A typical day in the role includes:

  • Leading engagement with our key clients, nurturing current relationships and developing new relationships in the pursuit of winning work for the NZ Energy business.

  • Drive operations and processes within a multidisciplinary Power Generation Industrial team in NZ.

  • Reviewing bids, using your experience to ensure that our clients needs are truly understood and can be delivered by AECOM.

  • Being the escalation point for technical design teams and Engineers on our projects, mentoring and supporting a highly capable team.

  • Thinking and Actioning Globally – using the resources both in NZ and across the world.

Qualifications

The following qualifications and experience are highly desired, but if you don’t tick all the boxes you could still be a perfect fit for this role. Please apply, all applications will be considered.

  • An Engineering Degree with 15+ years’ experience.

  • Broad technical experience in Power Generation, New Energy and Renewables

  • Demonstrated leadership skills including technical leadership and people engagement.

  • Ability to communicate with internal stakeholders at all levels. You will have the confidence to communicate both up and down within AECOM’s organisation structure.

  • You will be respected within the NZ Energy Community, with the relationships to bring continued work to AECOM. This will also come from your ability to build new relationships and through the high quality work your teams will produce under your leadership.
